Serves 11
Ingredients:
3 lbs ground beef
1 med onion, chopped
2 cans (16oz each) chili beans, undrained (it calls for hot , but I just use mild)
2 bottles (12 oz each) chili sauce (I used 1)
2 cans (10-3/4 oz each) condensed tomato soup, undiluted (didn’t have any so I used 1 can of tomato sauce with about 2 tsp sugar and added about ½ C water)
1 cup canned pumpkin
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (can also use combination of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Maybe a pinch of allspice)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili powder
Directions:
Cook the beef and onion then put everything in the crockpot. It doesn’t need to be “cooked” at this point, just warm. I started the crockpot about 1 hr before everyone came just to make sure it was warm all the way through. As you can see, I’ve tried this recipe a few different ways, so fiddle around with it and see what your family prefers. You can also add more water depending on how you like it. Also, remember this recipe serves 11 so you might want to cut it in half.
